Connection & comfiness is at the heart of what I do. The photos I highlight here didn’t arise from who I am, but who I am when I’m connected & in alignment with my clients. Saying that, I aim to work with people who have a love for film & treasure wedding day galleries in all its forms — the silly, the intimate, the carefree-ness; kind folks that don’t take themselves too seriously but orchestrate thing with intention & lots o love.
I’m a big fan of reality TV, Thai takeout, kitschy decor, and baking desserts! When I’m not out & about taking photos, you can find me hiking in the mountains with partner (now FIANCE. OW OW), going to a local concert, or just talking about music online (iykyk).
A little about me
I’m a Wisconsin based photographer (but will happily travel anywhere) with a deep passion for capturing your love in its purest form. Whether that’s an intimate backyard wedding, dancing the night away at a jazz bar with your favorite people, or grabbing a quick bite at your favorite pizza spot — capturing your love in the most true to you way possible is my priority. I use a mixed bags of techniques to tell your story in a unique, creative, & colorful way. From some of my favorite film cameras to your modern day digital camera, the goal is that you shine through as your most comfortable and genuine self.
Speaking of film — All of my weddings fully incorporate 35mm + medium format film as it plays a huge roll in my workflow + vision for your wedding day! There’s something about it that’s so true to form, raw, and just really captures what happens in the moment. I love both film + digital as independent mediums as well; When editing, I’m just trying to make them as beautiful as can be, while honoring the integrity of both mediums! I tend to keep my photos on the warmer, more saturated-colors side, so both your film & digital photos will come together cohesively.
I have quickly fallen in love with documenting + capturing real love between two humans — There’s something about it that A. Makes me cry every time and B. Makes me truly believe this is what I was meant to do in life.
I’ve been a hopeless romantic since I was in my teens (shout out Eternal Sunshine) and getting to watch couples express their love with each other and myself getting to document it makes me feel like I’m watching a romance movie unfold.
I love having the quiet approach of letting things happen + going with the flow and that’s exactly what you’ll get when working alongside me; Nothing forced or extremely posed to match the traditional wedding flow. I’ll be there to document your day as it truly happens ♡
